Place the printer on a flat surface
Remove the seal of the box
Take of the cartridge carefully and place it in flat and dry surface
Check for USB cables, power cord and CD
Take out the printer
Now remove the plastic protective seal from your printer and cartridge
Remove all orange tapes from the contact pins of cartridge
Plug the power cord to your printer
Connect the power cord to the electricity source (connect the printer directly to the wall outlet)
Turn on your printer and insert the cartridge carefully to check your printer.

Turn on your Canon printer
Connect your Canon printer to the PC via USB cable

Click on the popup and follow the on-screen commands for connecting the Canon printer to the PC
Now you have to download and install the Canon printer driver on your PC. The Canon printer driver is a connectivity bridge between the printer and the computer. Printer driver provides your commands to the printer. If you don’t install the printer driver on your computer then your Canon Pixma will not be able to understand your commands and will show you various errors. If you have a CD drive on the PC then insert the CD you have received with your printer. An installer will appear on your screen. Click on the installer and the printer driver will automatically get installed on your PC. If you don’t have a CD drive then visit the website given on the card and download the printer driver. Go to your downloads and run the printer installer. Now you have to follow the on-screen commands for completing the driver installation process. Now restart your computer and open a file you want to print. Press Ctrl and P keys from the keyboard. Print popup will appear on your screen. From the printers, click on your Canon Pixma printer. Now make changes according to requirements like several copies, size, alignment, etc and then click on the print button. If your printer provides any kind error while printing then you should check for the issue and fix it immediately.
If your printer is showing offline status or your printer is unavailable then you should check for the connection. If you are using the wireless connection then make sure your printer is connected to the router properly. Check the WPS pin on your router and place your Canon printer near to your router. For a wired printer, check your USB cable. Try connecting your printer with another USB cable. If you are still getting the same error then go to the settings and check whether the Canon Pixma printer is configured properly or not. Check your printer driver for corruption.
